Scenario Editor
Rivet Wars Editor Pack

Create your own scenarios for the Rivet Wars game.

If you’ve made it to this page then you have probably played Rivet Wars, have played some of the scenarios and have decided it might be fun to create your own. If that’s the case then you’re in the right place. Thanks to the hard work and genius of Tom Hill, this editor will allow you to set up up a map that looks just like those in the rule book, then you’ll be able to export your map as an image file and then put it all together using the ScenarioTemplate.rtf with aged paper background, fonts and all. To do this you’ll need the following.

  1. Download and install Tiled. This is a great free and open source piece of software. This is where you’ll move around the tiles, tanks traps, bunkers, etc. to create your map image.
  2. Download the editor pack zip file and unpack it. In it you’ll find the PNG art files to use in Tiled as well as a TMX file that you’ll load into Tiled.
  3. Download and read the great README file Tom Hill has created to walk you through the process.

It might seem like a lot of work at first but once you get it set up you’ll find these are some powerful tools. Soon you’ll be making scenarios and uploading them to share with the community. As always, if you have questions head over to the forums and someone will be sure to lend a hand. Have fun and Get in the Fight!
